Illusion magic is a particularly fanciful art, and auteurs understand how this art can guide not only perceptions but ideologies.
Trade Tradition
If this is this character’s first level in any class, the auteur may select a trade tradition of their choice, and have an adroit trade rank. The auteur gains 2 additional skill ranks per fey adept level.
This replaces the fey adept’s normal class skills and master illusionist.
Blended Training
Whenever an auteur would gain a magic talent from his class levels, he may instead choose to gain a skill talent.
This alters magic talents.
Propagandist
At 1st level, the auteur may extend the casting time of an illusion sphere effect by one step to invoke a minor or major motivation as part of the casting. The illusion effect created must represent something which would advance the creature’s motivation (for example, you might invoke a motivation of wealth by creating an illusory pile of gold or invoke a motivation of fame by creating the illusion of an adoring follower).
Creatures with the invoked motivation must roll twice on Perception checks and Will saves against the illusion, taking the lower result. If the auteur invokes a major motivation, the target also takes a -2 penalty on their saving throws or Perception checks. This penalty increases to -3 at 13th level and -4 at 19th level.
This replaces shadowmark.
Viewing Pleasure
At 2nd level, the auteur gains the Masques talent as a bonus talent or buys off a sphere-specific drawback which would prevent him from selecting the Masques talent. If they already possess this talent, they may select a different Illusion sphere talent. When the auteur succeeds at a roll which is currently improved by Masques, he is treated as having spent skill leverage to Seize an Opportunity on that roll.
This replaces darkvision.
Suture Attention (Su)
At 14th level, the auteur learns to deliberately impose engagement upon his audiences. As part of creating an illusion effect or attempting a skill check, the auteur may name a specific motivation (such as wealth, justice, or uncertainty). All creatures targeted by the effect or who observe the illusion are treated as having the named motivation as a minor motivation for one minute per auteur level unless they succeed at a Will save (DC 10 + 1/2 your auteur level + your casting ability modifier). A creature who successfully saves against this ability is immune to this ability for 24 hours. This is a mind-affecting charm effect.
At 20th level, creatures which fail their saving throw against suture treat the named motivation as a major motivation for 1 hour per fey adept level, or as a minor motivation for 1 round on a successful saving throw.
This replaces see in darkness and feytouched.
