Otherworldly Mark (Su)
Each of the binder’s personas are an otherworldly being that inhabits the binder’s body so long as a persona is assumed. These creatures frequently display unique signs of their presence such as glowing eyes, the stench of brimstone, or strange runes inscribed across the binder’s skin. The binder takes a -5 penalty to Disguise checks in any persona besides their base persona.
While under the effects of the Hallow word or similar effects that can prevent possession, a binder must make a Will save against the effect. On a failure, they revert to their base persona.
This alters personas.
Occultist (Ex)
The binder gains a bonus to Knowledge (planes) checks equal to half their binder level (minimum 1).
This replaces master of disguise.
Binder’s Knacks (Su)
The binder may select the following persona quirks for any persona regardless of trope. This alters method actor.
Exploit Magic
The binder gains Extra Spell Points as a bonus feat. This quirk can be selected multiple times.
Planar Transformation
The binder selects one (form) talent from the Conjuration sphere. So long as they are in this persona, the binder gains the benefits of this talent as if they were a companion with an effective caster level equal to their binder level (thus giving the binder an effective amount of Hit Dice equal to the amount possessed by a companion of that level for the purpose of determining the (form) talent’s effects).
For example, a 12th-level binder would gain a +6 armor bonus from Armored Companion. The binder can select from any of the following (form) talents: Aberrant Companion, Altered Size, Amorphous, Armored Companion, Avian Creature, Constructed, Elemental Creature, Explosive Companion, Extra Limbs, Extreme Situations, Fey Companion, Infectious Creature, Magic Attacks, Muensterous Companion, Ooze Companion, Planar Creature, Plant Creature, Ravenous Creature, Resistant Creature, Shadow Creature, Shocking Creature, Spell-Warded Companion, Stinking Companion, Thorned Companion, Transformative, Undead Creature, Water Being, or Web Spinner. Additional talents may be selected at GM discretion. This quirk can be selected multiple times to a maximum of once for every 6 binder levels you possess for each persona.
Potent Expulsion (Su)
At 2nd level, the binder may force a bound creature out of his body to obtain a surge of power. If he is not in his base persona, the binder may as a free action revert to their base persona in order to gain one of the following benefits.
- The binder gains a temporary spell point plus an additional temporary spell point for every 8 levels beyond 2nd. These temporary spell points last for 1 round.
- The binder may make a new saving throw against any ongoing effect they are currently suffering from that normally grants a saving throw using the original DC, even if they have already failed the initial save and would not normally be granted another. The binder cannot use this if unable to perform the free action to use potent expulsion.
- The binder gains a +2 insight bonus to a single d20 roll made before the start of their next turn. This bonus increases by 1 at 6th level and every 4 levels thereafter.
The binder does not revert to their base persona until the effects of the expulsion (such as a modified d20 roll or an effect created using the spell points) and any subsequent effects stemming from it (such as damage rolls) are resolved. They may use this ability once per day at 2nd level plus an additional time per day at 6th level and every 4 levels thereafter.
This replaces quick change.
