These symbiats rely less on the manipulation of matter and force, and more on melodies and the mind itself. Their telepathic tunes sing to the very being of an individual, capable of emboldening or rending the mind directly.
Trade Tradition
If this is this character's first level in any class, the cerebral singer may select a trade tradition of their choice, and have a competent trade rank.
This replaces the symbiat's normal class skills.
Blended Training
Whenever the cerebral singer would gain a magic talent from his class levels, he may instead choose to gain a skill talent. The cerebral singer uses his casting ability modifier as his operative modifier.
This alters casting.
Soulsinger
The cerebral singer gains the Performance skill sphere and the Mind magic sphere as bonus spheres at 1st level. The cerebral singer must choose the (lyric) package for the Performance sphere.
This replaces mental powers.
Psionics (Su)
A cerebral singer uses sound and music as templates to hone his psionic abilities. These psionic abilities are considered mindaffecting effects, and use the cerebral singer's Mind sphere or Performance sphere DC for any effects that require a saving throw, whichever is higher.
Psychic Song
Whenever the cerebral singer starts a lyric with this effect active, it does not require verbal or visual components, as the words are transmitted telepathically into the target's mind.
At 9th level, the lyric is also no longer a language-dependent effect. Additionally, the cerebral singer uses his Performance or Mind sphere DC (whichever is highest) when determining the save DC for his lyrics and Mind sphere abilities.
At 17th level, the cerebral singer may use spells and sphere effects on any target affected by his lyrics, regardless of distance or line of effect.
This replaces mind link, improved mind link, and greater mind link.
Cerebral Pulse
The cerebral singer can overwhelm an enemy within 60 feet with cacophonous sound, making it difficult to concentrate. The target is allowed a Will saving throw to resist this effect.
A target who fails their saving throw against this effect suffers 1d6 + 1/2 his symbiat level sonic damage at the start of each of their turns, and must roll any concentration checks twice, taking the lowest result while under the effects of this ability. Regardless of the result of the saving throw, each use of this ability expends a minimum of 1 round of the cerebral singer's psionics.
At 13th level and every 6 levels thereafter, the cerebral singer may target and maintain this effect against an additional creature at once when using this ability.
This replaces battlefield relay.
Psionic Rebuke
At 6th level, whenever the cerebral singer applies a lyric to a creature, he can begin this psionic effect as a swift or immediate action. When the creature expends the lyric applied as part of this effect, the cerebral singer can spend an immediate action to cast a lesser or greater charm on the creature (paying any costs associated as normal), which lasts for 2 rounds.
This replaces telekinetic edge.
Metaphysical Fortress
At 16th level, the cerebral singer can embolden the personality and willpower of two creatures within 60 feet, plus an additional creature for every 2 symbiat levels beyond 16th. All affected creatures gain a +6 enhancement bonus to Charisma, and become immune to charm and mind-affecting effects from hostile sources. Additionally, whenever a creature benefiting from this effect attempts a Will saving throw, they may replace their saving throw bonus with another creature's bonus that is benefiting from this effect for that saving throw.
This replaces telekinetic colossus.
Personable (Ex)
A cerebral singer is able to passively glean the best way of conversing with individuals using subtle psionics. Beginning at 2nd level, he gains an insight bonus to Diplomacy and Sense Motive checks equal to 2 + 1 per 5 symbiat levels he possesses, and unlocks skill leverage with these skills.
This replaces ESP.
Euphonic Thrum (Su)
At 3rd level, a cerebral singer gains a +2 bonus to saving throws attempted against Performance sphere abilities, sonic, and language-dependent effects. These bonuses increase by 1 for every 4 symbiat levels beyond 3rd.
This replaces danger sense.
