Trade Tradition
If this is the character’s first level, they choose a trade traditionSoG. Their trade rank is adroit. If this is not the character’s first level, they instead choose one trade talent from the Vocation sphere as a bonus talent.
This replaces the cantor's normal class skills.
Weapon and Armor Proficiencies
Champion cantors are proficient with simple weapons, as well as light armor and bucklers. In addition, if this is this character’s first level in any class, they may select a martial tradition of their choice.
This alters weapon and armor proficiencies.
Casting
The champion cantor may combine spheres and talents to create magical effects. The champion cantor is considered a Mid-Caster. (Note: All casters gain 2 bonus talents and may select a casting tradition the first time they gain the casting class feature.)
This replaces orisons and spells
Spell Pool
A champion cantor gains a small reservoir of energy she can call on to create truly wondrous effects, called a spell pool. This pool contains a number of spell points equal to her class level + her casting ability modifier (minimum 1). This pool replenishes once per day after roughly 8 hours of rest.
Blended Training
A champion cantor gains a combat, magic, or skill talent (some of which are required to be utility talents) using the journeyman talent progression (or the virtuoso talent progressionSoG, if the sphere cantor replaces the verses gained at 2nd, 8th, 14th, and 20th levels). A champion cantor uses her casting ability modifier as her practitioner modifier.
Flexible Harmonies
The DCs and effects of all of the champion cantor’s class abilities are based on the champion cantor’s casting ability modifier rather than her Wisdom modifier. Any champion cantor ability that would involve a caster level check instead uses a magic skill check.
Sphere Expertise (Ex)
At 1st level, the champion cantor selects a single magic or combat sphere. For the purpose of that sphere’s effects, she treats her caster level or base attack bonus as equal to her champion cantor level.
This replaces the spells known granted by the cantor’s hymn
Repertoire Talent (Ex)
At 5th level, a champion cantor learns to acquire temporary cosmic knowledge. The champion cantor gains a single bonus skill, magic, or combat talent. Whenever the champion cantor changes her repertoire hymn, she may change this talent, choosing a new talent she meets the prerequisites for. At 11th and 17th levels, the champion cantor gains an additional bonus talent which can be exchanged in the same manner.
This replaces repertoire spell.
