Metal Jaw

These sheets of metal are designed to fit over a creatures existing teeth, improving their bite strength. A metal jaw only aids a creature with an existing bite attack; creatures without a bite attack merely find the metal jaw uncomfortable and awkward. While typically made of iron or steel, rarer versions do exist made of odd materials like alchemical silver or adamantine (add the cost of the material on to the price, treating metal jaws as light weapons). A set of metal jaws can be enchanted as though it were a masterwork weapon, and such enhancements provide their effect solely to the creature’s bite attack. The bonuses provided by a magical set of metal jaws supercede the benefits from magical items such as an Amulet of Mighty Fists.

Thunderstone Shard

These tiny shards of thunderstone explode with a loud noise when they strike a hard surface. While this noise is noticeable, it isn’t enough to deafen creatures. Thunderstone shards can be used in several different applications.

Thunderstone shards can be used in several different applications.

  • If mixed with gunpowder based explosives they deal an additional 1d6 points of sonic damage.
  • If used as a material component for a spell with the [sonic] descriptor the caster may reroll a single 1 on the damage die for that spell.

Thunder Sheath

Create: Craft (weapons) DC 20 Price: 500 gp Weight: 2 lbs

This sheath can be loaded with a thunderstone shard as a move action. While loaded the wielder can pull a trigger on the sheath to have the weapon explode outwards. He may draw the weapon as a free action, if he makes a melee attack with the weapon, that attack gains a +2 bonus on the damage roll. Without the Quick Draw feat the wielder takes a -1 on the attack roll while doing this.

Thundershot Weapon

Create: Craft (weapons) DC 20 Price: +50 gp Weight:

This modification can be applied to any melee weapon, increasing its cost by 50 gp. A thundershot weapon can be loaded with up to three thunderstone shards as a move action. The wielder may pull a trigger on the weapon to have the weapon’s striking surface fire off (an attack action), treat this as a ranged attack with a 20 foot range increment, this only provokes attacks of opportunity if the observer makes a perception check (DC 10+ users stealth or slight of hand bonus) or knows that the weapon is a thundershot weapon.

Thunderstrike Weapon

Create: Craft (weapons) DC 30 Price +500 gp Weight:

This modification can be applied to any melee weapon, increasing its cost by 500 gp. A thunderstrike weapon can be loaded with a thunderstone shard as a move action. The wielder may pull a trigger on the weapon as part of making an attack to detonate the thunderstone shard, extending the weapon and granting it an additional 5 feet of reach. An extended weapon is awkward to wield and takes a -4 penalty on attack and damage rolls after the initial attack that extended it, until the wielder takes a swift action to reset it.
