Intuitively gifted in the skills that facilitate life at the margins of society, a gutter rat’s insight can quickly get her out of a jam.
Roguish Adaptation: At 2nd level, the gutter rat may select rogue talents but not combat talents with her adaptation ability and all abilities that alter adaptation. She may not use this ability to gain combat feats or talents, even via rogue and ninja tricks. She treats her class level as her rogue level for using and qualifying for these talents, stacking with any rogue levels she possesses. She does not gain the ability to take advanced rogue talents.
While possessing a rogue talent granted by this ability, the gutter rat gains 1d6 sneak attack damage, as the rogue class feature, or increases her existing sneak attack damage by 1d6. This damage increases by +1d6 at 7th and 16th levels.
This alters adaptation, improved adaptation, greater adaptation, share adaptation, master adaptation, grandmaster adaptation, and perfect prodigy.
Edge: At 7th level, the gutter rat gains the skill unlock for the skill currently selected for her steady skill.
This replaces reflect spell.
Greater Edge: At 16th level, whenever the gutter rat chooses her steady skill, she may gain the skill unlock for an additional skill of her choice.
This replaces greater reflect spell.
Special: This archetype may be combined with the battle-born archetype. When doing so, the adaptation ability allows the selection of combat talents and rogue talents.
