These wardens focus on the magical aspects of their capacity to protect, rather than the more martial, ‘involved’ methods. Still vigilant and incredible protectors, keepers are able to intercept enemies attempting to flee from their allies.
Magical Guardian
The keeper does not gain the Guardian sphere as a bonus sphere and instead gains a bonus magic talent of their choice from his vigil sphere.
This alters mystical guardian.
Arcane Protector
Whenever the keeper would gain a vigil ability that uses the patrol ability, he may choose to gain a bonus reinforcement instead (replacing that vigil ability). Additionally, once per round, the keeper may spend 1 spell point instead of expending his martial focus when using one of his warden class features.
This alters blended training. The keeper does not gain a martial tradition and cannot achieve martial focus, nor can he take combat talents with the talents granted by his warden levels. The warden is treated as having martial focus for meeting the prerequisites of feats, but not to use such feats.
Watchful Sentinel
At 3rd level, whenever an enemy would move out of the threatened area of an ally within 15 feet, the keeper may expend an attack of opportunity to move up to half his speed (minimum 5 feet) towards the enemy. This movement happens after the enemy moves, but the keeper can expend his martial focus as part of using this ability to instead make this movement before the enemy moves. The keeper may only use this against a specific target once per round.
This replaces routine patrol, but may be altered or replaced by other archetypes.
Stalwart
At 9th level, the keeper can use mental and physical resilience to avoid certain attacks. If the keeper attempts a Fortitude or Will saving throw against an attack that has a reduced effect on a successful save, he instead avoids the effect entirely. A helpless keeper does not gain the benefit of the stalwart ability.
This replaces improved patrol, but may be altered or replaced by other archetypes.
