A knightly order can be much more than a source of training, often providing a loyal member with lifelong benefits. Knights of the order represent their respective orders in a variety of courtly and military matters, harnessing connections and decorum in addition to martial mastery.
Trade Tradition
If this is this character’s first level in any class, the knight of the order may select a trade tradition of their choice, and have an adroit trade rank.
Envoy of the Order
At 1st level, the knight of the order gains the Faction sphere as a bonus sphere, selecting his knightly order as his faction.
If the knight of the order possesses the (retainer) package, he may gain the services of a single courier or expert retainer at a time without having to pay a authorization. If the knight of the order possesses the (supply) package, obtaining a mount with suitable gear does not cost faction authorizations but the price of the mount (including any gear it comes with) cannot exceed the knight of the order’s temporary faction resources limit. The mount can be replaced like a retainer, but also must be paid for if it is lost like a retainer.
This replaces mount.
Noble Bearing
Whenever the knight of the order would gain a teamwork feat or combat feat as a bonus feat from cavalier levels, he may instead choose to gain a single skill talent. In addition, the knight of the order may exchange each of the following class features for a single skill talent at the respective level: banner, cavalier’s charge, greater banner, greater tactician, master tactician, mighty charge, supreme charge, and tactician. A knight of the order may not exchange these class features if he possesses an archetype that would alter or replace the exchanged class features.
Storied Knight
At 4th level, the knight of the order gains the Faction talent Social Clout as a bonus talent. When the knight of the order transfers clout to a new area, he may spend 1 use of skill leverage to transfer clout immediately rather than having to do so over multiple hours or days.
This replaces expert trainer.
