In wars where large supply trains are unviable, soldiers are often trained to carry their own supplies and attend to their own civilian necessities. Muli complement their skill at arms with baking, building, and other utilitarian skills.

Trade Tradition

If this is this character’s first level in any class, the mulus may select a trade tradition of his choice, and have a competent trade rank.

This replaces the fighter’s normal class skills. It can be combined with another archetype which would alter the fighter’s class skills or skill ranks per level; if it is, this trade tradition replaces those modifications.

Marcher’s Tenacity (Ex)

At 1st level, the mulus gains a single talent from the Vocation sphere as a bonus talent in addition to his choice of one base sphere from Artifice, Herbalism, Navigation, or Survivalism.

Whenever the mulus would gain a bonus combat feat, he may also select from the Extra Skill Talent feat or any feat which requires skill talents, skill spheres, or specific skill ranks as prerequisites.

This replaces the bonus feat gained at 1st level.

Field Training (Ex)

The mulus’s weapon training bonus applies only to attack rolls with his selected weapon groups, not to damage. For every point of weapon training bonus from class levels, the mulus gains a single utility talent as a bonus talent.

This alters weapon training.

Advanced Marcher Training

Whenever a mulus could select a new weapon group to improve with weapon training or could improve his penalty reduction from armor training, he may instead select one of the following options. He cannot choose the same option more than once.

Military Presence (Ex)

The mulus may choose a single approach he can assume. This approach does not count towards the maximum number of approaches he can assume at any given time. (Adopting each approach is still a separate action.)

The mulus must be at least 13th level to choose this advanced marcher training.

Pack Mule (Ex)

The mulus adds both his highest weapon training bonus and his armor training bonus to his Strength score for the purpose of determining his carrying capacity. He also suffers no penalties for carrying a medium load, which allows the mulus to benefit from abilities which would no longer function due to him carrying a medium load even when he is carrying such a load.

Quartermaster (Ex)

The mulus adds his weapon training or armor training bonus (whichever is higher) to the number of plans he can have prepared at one time. In addition, multiple copies of the same item revealed by a plan do not count against the weight of planned objects he carries (this does not affect the cost of the items revealed).

Soldier’s Edge (Ex)

For every skill check and DC (such as the DC of using Bluff to feint against him) which the mulus can use his base attack bonus for in place of his skill ranks, the mulus gains skill unlocks (Pathfinder Unchained) as if he possessed ranks in these skills equal to his base attack bonus.

The mulus also adds his weapon training or armor training bonus (whichever is higher) to all checks with such skills.
