Nightfang Servant (Druid Archetype)

Bind Spirit: At 1st level, a Nightfang servant may seal pacts with otherworldly entities known as spirits. In order to summon a spirit, the Nightfang servant must learn the spirit’s ceremony, constellation, personality, and seal by completing its four Knowledge Tasks; see Researching the Spirit for more information on this process.

Each day, a Nightfang servant may bind one spirit to her soul using pact magic; see Performing a Pact Ritual. The spirit’s level may not exceed the Nightfang servant’s maximum spirit level, which is limited to 1st-level spirits at 1st level. At 4th level and every three druid levels thereafter, the Nightfang servant’s maximum spirit level increases by 1, to a maximum of 6th-level spirits at 16th level.

A Nightfang servant possesses a binder level equal to her level. The DC to resist a Nightfang servant’s supernatural powers is equal to 10 + 1/2 the Nightfang servant’s level + the Nightfang servant’s Charisma modifier.

This ability replaces nature bond.

Lore of the Weald (Ex): At 1st level, a Nightfang servant may only seal pacts with spirits belonging to the Beast, Fiend, Skull, or Tree constellations. In addition, she can cast one fewer spell per day at each level than is indicated on Table: Druid in the Pathfinder Roleplaying Game Core Rulebook. If this reduces her total number of spells per day to 0, she gains only the bonus spells she would be entitled to based on her Wisdom score for that level.

This ability alters spells.

Attuned to the Weald (Ex): At 2nd level, a Nightfang servant gains the favored terrain ranger class feature. She must choose the Nightfang as her favored terrain. She does not gain additional favored terrains as a ranger would, but her favored terrain bonus for the Nightfang increases by +2 at 8th level and every five levels thereafter. In addition, her woodland stride and trackless step abilities only function on the Nightfang plane.

This ability alters woodland stride and trackless step.

Full-Fledged Servant: At 4th level, a Nightfang servant gains Societal Obedience (see Chapter 2) as a bonus feat, ignoring the feat’s prerequisites. She must choose the Nightfang Adherents as her chosen organization.

This ability replaces resist nature’s lure.
