Talking can only help so much; sometimes the blade is the only language that people speak. These officers possess a greater capacity for combat and are able to hold their own more than most envoys.

Blended Training

Whenever an officer would gain a skill talent from his class levels, he may instead choose to gain a combat talent. The officer uses his operative modifier as his practitioner modifier.

This alters skill expertise.

Base Attack Bonus

An officer gains an improved base attack bonus progression, gaining 3/4 of a base attack bonus each class level instead of 1/2.

This alters base attack bonus and replaces powerful personality.

Weapon and Armor Proficiencies

An officer is proficient with simple weapons, as well as light armor and bucklers. In addition, if this is this character’s first level in any class, they may select a martial tradition of their choice.

This replaces weapon and armor proficiencies.

Coordinator

At 1st level, the officer gains the coordinate synergy and synchronized tactics abilities (as per the advisor class features), using his envoy level as his advisor level for determining its effects.

At 14th level, the officer gains the harmonic interplay class feature (as per the advisor class feature), using his envoy level as his advisor level for determining its effects.

At 17th level, if the officer has synergy with an ally and the ally would spend temporary hit points from the officer’s confident presence, the amount of temporary hit points they gain is increased by 50% (this extra amount is not deducted from the pool). Such allies also improve any morale bonuses granted by the officer by 2.

This replaces dispiriting words.

Tactical Know-How

The officer can take advisor lessons in place of envoy flairs, using his envoy level as his advisor level for determining their effects and whether or not he can choose a lesson. If the envoy’s forte would grant them a [phrase] option, they can instead take an advisor lesson.

Networking

At 2nd level, if the officer has synergy with an ally, the ally can benefit and expend the influence that the officer has over creatures on his behalf, as long as the ally is aware of the influence.

This replaces the deep discouragement influence use.

Officer’s Inspiration

At 2nd level, if the officer starts his turn perceiving at least two other allies he has synergy with, he gains a number of temporary hit points equal to his operative modifier + his envoy level, which last until the start of his next turn–if the officer has multiple sources of temporary hit points, these temporary hit points are lost last.

This replaces wordless disparagement.

Adaptive Synergy

At 11th level, the officer is treated as being part of all synergies that he creates. In this instance, abilities that refer to ‘the other synergized ally’ treat all allies that are not using the ability as ‘the other synergized ally’. Additionally, the officer can change a synergy benefit applied to a pair of allies as an immediate action instead of a standard action.

This replaces complex phrase.

Field Promotion

At 12th level, if the officer has synergy with an ally and the officer falls unconscious or dies (or otherwise suffers a condition that does not allow him to use a presence ability), the other synergised ally begins to produce the officer’s presence abilities in place of the officer. Actions taken that would replenish his confident presence still do so, but are reliant on the synergized ally instead of the officer.

This does not confer the immunities the officer would normally receive.

This replaces boundless words.
