Suicide Soldier (Barbarian Archetype)

Amateur Binder: At 1st level, a suicide soldier gains Amateur Pactmaker† as a bonus feat. This ability replaces fast movement.

Raging Vitality (Ex): At 2nd level, a suicide soldier gains Diehard and Raging Vitality as bonus feats, ignoring their prerequisites. In addition, she counts the Raging Vitality feat as the Endurance feat for the purpose of meeting the prerequisites of feats that list Diehard as a prerequisite. This ability replaces uncanny dodge and the rage power gained at 2nd level.

Death Company Member: At 3rd level, a suicide soldier gains Societal Obedience as a bonus feat, ignoring its prerequisites. She must choose the Company of the Dead as her chosen organization. At 6th level and every 3 levels thereafter, she gains a +1 bonus on activity checks to remain a member of the Company of the Dead, as well as on skill checks made to influence members of the Company of the Dead who are at least indifferent towards her. This ability replaces trap sense.

Bind Spirit: At 4th level, a suicide soldier may seal pacts with otherworldly entities known as spirits. In order to summon a spirit, the suicide soldier must learn the spirit’s ceremony, constellation, personality, and seal by completing its four Knowledge Tasks; see Researching the Spirit for more information on this process.

Each day, a suicide soldier may bind one spirit to her soul using pact magic; see Performing a Pact Ritual. The spirit’s level may not exceed the suicide soldier maximum spirit level, which is limited to 2nd-level spirits at 4th level. At 8th level and every four barbarian levels thereafter, the suicide soldier’s maximum spirit level increases by 1, to a maximum of 6th-level spirits at 20th level.

A suicide soldier possesses a binder level equal to her level. The DC to resist a suicide soldier’s supernatural powers is equal to 10 + 1/2 the suicide soldier’s level + the suicide soldier’s Charisma modifier. This ability replaces the rage powers gained at 4th, 8th, 12th, 16th, and 20th levels.
